Brussels - Sunday morning
The Fellows went to the Museum of Central Africa this morning - http://www.africamuseum.be/. Belgium colonized the Congo in 1877, when King Leopold II commissioned journalist Henry Morton Stanley to explore the Congo, secure treaties with local chiefs, and establish the contacts needed to form a commercial monopoly of the land. Leopold named this area the Congo Free State.
